A BAND CALLED TWANG

’Slim Tim’ Collett, ‘Miss Maree; Gwynn, ‘Smokin’ Dan’ Fargo started forming in 2013 on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Qld, recruiting drummer ‘Toby Baron’ in 2014 to complete the line up. Their original upbeat multi-vocal Rockabilly/Roots Americana style was quick to have an impact the Australian music scene.

With their vocal prowess, sharp harmonies, slick musicianship and visually fun and energetic performance they’ll be sure to have you up on your feet.

The Fender Benders are a three piece band that have been rockin’ and rollin’ together since 1998.
They been gigging together for almost 24 years now and are sure to get you up and out of your seats for a boogie.

ITCHY FINGERS
Itchy Fingers are a four piece 50’s & 60’s Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly, Rhythm & Blues band from Melbourne. Formed in 1992 the band has been gigging for over 29 years, performing at various Festivals, Pubs and clubs, dances, Hot Rod Shows, Car Club events and private functions. This has seen them travel interstate and throughout Country Victoria regularly.

RHIZ AND THE SUGARPLUMS
Rhiz (Rhiannon McArthur) and The Sugarplums (Jordy Hickey, Mandy Keating, Pete Daffy) are a four-piece rockabilly band from Melbourne and Camperdown, Victoria. Playing anything from 50’s-style rockabilly, to Western swing and old-school rock’n’roll, Rhiz and The Sugarplums revive an infectious genre of music from a long-gone era, capturing a rare nostalgic groove that’s hard to resist.

Eddy & the Exciters deliver. They pack an energetic mix of their own original material & famous blues classics into every show. SLIM GRITTY

The Slim Gritty Band perform an upbeat uplifting mix of original and classic Rockabilly/Hillbilly tunes, with an emphasis of keeping both the listening and dancing audiences happy. Slim in various line-ups is no stranger to gigs and festivals both here in Australia and abroad most recently performing at ‘Cooly Rocks On’ and ‘Greazefest’ in Queensland.
On Sat 22 nd October August Slim and his band are very excited to perform for the first time at ‘Rock the Clock Festival’ in Camperdown. The Slim Gritty band line-up will include Slappin’ Dan Rondeau on Slap Bass, Giovanni Di Stefano on drums and Slim on guitar and vocals.

ROBYN AND THE RANCHEROS

Robyn and the Rancheros play an explosive mix of originals and
reinterpreted covers from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music that will
have the rock ‘n’ rollers busting out their best routines at the same time
as the pub rockers are up grooving and reminiscing to the good old
days, if you are not into dancing, just sit back, tap your feet and enjoy
the cracking show.
Their energetic eclectic mix of tunes has something for everyone, with
Robyn Howden pumping out the vocals, Steve Perrett on lead guitar,
Mick McIntyre on drums and Russ Gayther on bass, the Rancheros will
not disappoint.

Strap on your dancing shoes, Sheena and the Big Cats will have your feet a flapping and your hearts a boppin’. With powerhouse vocals and all the sass required, Sheena belts out classic hits from 1950’s rockabilly women. When it comes to women in the Australian rockabilly scene, Sheena is not one to be missed.

The Ladybugs are a group of 4 born and bred, Camperdown gals bringing you rock ‘n’ roll classics by many of the great women of the 50’s and 60’s. Bringing together a repertoire of Wanda Jackson, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and many others, The Ladybugs combine sweet country vocals with the rhythm and music of the 1950s which will be sure to have you out of your seats and dancing!

THE LAKES & CRATERS BAND

AN amazing community group led by Jane McSween. With a vast repertoire from traditional to concert band and swing, to rock’n’roll and cabaret… many budding instrumentalists are nurtured and get the valuable opportunity to experience ensemble performance. The band often plays for local theatre co. productions, as well as putting on their own shows. We always love having the Lakes & Craters crew play at our festival!
